Description

The Diocesan Museum matronei Altamura (or MUDIMA) is a museum built inside the Cathedral of Altamura, which can be accessed through a side entrance. It occupies the upper floors of the Cathedral of Altamura, the so-called women's galleries and the adjacent seats. The museum contains the finds, ancient statues dating back to the Middle Ages, the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Also on display are breviaries, notarial letters, relics and all the goods kept inside the Cathedral of Altamura. Also noteworthy is the so-called Murat cloak.
