Description

The Museum, named after Giuseppe Andreassi, director of the museum and of the archaeological area from 1976 to 1985 and Superintendent Archaeologist of Puglia from 1990 to 2009, is located outside the walls of ancient Gnathia, in the area of the Messapian necropolis. The exhibition traces the thirty centuries of history of the important settlement, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.
