The Jatta National Archaeological Museum in Ruvo di Puglia was set up in some rooms of Palazzo Jatta and represents the only example in Italy of a nineteenth-century private collection which has still remained unchanged from the original museographic concept. The artifacts kept in the museum were collected by the archaeologist Giovanni Jatta in the early 19th century, then it was handed over to the state in the 20th century.
